Inspector General of Police (DIP), Pujith Jayasundara is an appointee of the current government who is facing allegations of two incidents, assaulting a lift operator and threatening a female employee, will be leaving for United Kingdom for a military training program at the end of this month. According to the Law and Order Deputy Minister Nalin Bandara, the invitation to train with the Scotland Yard had come from the British Government and, Deputy Minister N. Bandara, Ministry Secretary Padmasiri Jayamanne, Senior Assistant Secretary M. Sooriyapperuma and Deputy Inspector General of Police Mahesh Senaratne will be accompanying the DIP. The group will be in UK from September 30 to October 6th, and the special training will be held on Community Police and Police Reforms, an event organized by the Scotland Yard Police.
